I specialize in wallpaper, tiling, finish carpentry, unusual one-off projects, and creative solutions. With a fun and easygoing attitude, I supply quality work that you can rely on.

As a retail paint store manager for almost a decade, I'm familiar with the best products to use for any application. As a residential carpenter before that, I creatively solved a wide range of problems with good looking, professional solutions. Since 2020 I've operated Etcetera Handywork and helped dozens of clients remake their homes to fit their lives perfectly.

Yard sale score

My client found this cute desk for $20 at a garage sale.

Stripped down and refinished

The desk needed repairs to make it solid and stable. I stripped off more than 6 layers of old paint to bring it down to bare wood.

Finished and cute.

I then repainted and finished with new knobs and drawer liner. It fits perfectly in my client's daughter's bedroom!

Fireplace Update • Winter 2022

Before

Dated 70's style fireplace with floating mantle. My client asked for a refresh.

The old mantle and tiles were carefully removed, and new large-format tiles installed from floor to ceiling

Complete

New ethanol fireplace insert with modern granite-look tile surround. Clients 100% satisfied!

Major deck repair

Winter 2022 - my clients moved into a new home that was a dream come true, except for the rotting back deck.

Over two weeks, I removed the rotting boards, levelled the joists, and replaced the surface with new decking. Economic and safety win!

Wallpaper

Wallpaper is making a comeback and I'm here for it. Creating special moments with a pop of amazing pattern is one of my specialities. Here are some recent wallpaper projects.
